I hadn't made a card in a few days and was feeling the NEED to craft! So, I went surfing for a challenge and came across the Jitterbuggin' Challenge. Sherri challenges us to make a 5" square card with a Cricut "B" on it, following a sketch. I used DCWV Songbird paper for the background mat, and I cut the tree out from one of those sheets. The bee hive, bee and flowers came from Create a Critter. I used glossy accents on the flowers. They really are glossy and look so cute in person! I pop-dotted the bee.

Once Upon a Princess gift bag
I made this gift bag for a friend of my daughter using Once Upon a Princess. The gift bag itself, the princess and the phrase are all from that cartridge. I embellished the bag with flowers held on using brads, and I chalked the princess' hair and the crown and stuck some pearls on the tips. I also chalked the scalloped edge of the bag. The holographic paper on her gown came from Target. The top is "topped off" with some more bling :)

Wine Bottle Birthday Card
My friend's hubby is turning 43. My husband was visiting them and was filling him in about my Cricut and my new obsession with card making. This friend of ours is a wine drinker... like my husband, so this is the card I made for him! The patterned background mats came from DCWV Rustic Stack. I got the wine bottle, glass and grapes from SVG clipart I found online. The sentiment frame came from Storybook. The font I used for the sentiment is Hermann... it's a fun font :)

Create a Critter monkey birthday card
I just finished this Create a Critter Monkey card for my friend's daughter's 5th birthday. All the card elements are from Create a Critter, including the palm tree, phrase, monkey and banana. The front mat papers are from DCWV Animal Crackers stack. The pale green palm leaves, the phrase and the banana are all pop-dotted. I used a file from SVGcuts.com for the pop-up Happy Birthday inside.
I'm going to use this card for the Cricut Cardz Challenge #38 and for Christina's first challenge at http://cardcreationsbyc.blogspot.com/.

Man's 60th Birthday Card
I don't know about you, but I always have a hard time coming up with a color combination and idea for a man's birthday card. My uncle in New Zealand is turning 60 next month, so I had a challenge before me! The purple background paper came from DCWV Rustic Stack, as did the brown leather looking paper shadowning the words. The scalloped piece came from DCWV Pocket of Posies stack. I used a brown ribbon and used the Crop-a-dile to insert 3 dark purple eyelets from Stampin' Up. I used cat's eye chalks on the words and around the edge of the card. I think it's manly enough for my very manly uncle! :)

Sweet Cupcake Card using SCAL
I just love the colors in this card :) I used SVGcuts.com for the lever card file. For the cupcake wrapper, I used DCWV Sweet Stack's "chocolate" page. It has a fan affect in two tone brown. I was able to center the image on the paper and it came out perfectly! The plaid paper also came from the Sweet stack. I used Perfect Pearls on the word sweet.... my first time using that medium. Hope you like it!

Create a Critter Skunk Card for challenge # 53 @ Paper Cutz
This cute little skunk came from Create a Critter! For the sentiment, I tried cutting something out on SCAL, but it was too small and too skinny to cut correctly... so, I printed it out on cardstock on my printer and then used Storybook and the centerpoint function to cut out the scalloped circle! I was really happy with the result! I pop-dotted both the skunk and circle.

Create a Critter Penguin Card
I made this card for my friend who's turning 40... more importantly, she LOVES penguins:) I used the Penguin and accessories from Create a Critter. I really adore that cartridge!! I used Coredinations paper for the background mat, the "wavy seas" which I've also used as the "windy skies", came from DCWV Summer Dream stack, as did the blue and yellow fish papers. The green fish came from DCWV Sweet stack. On the inside it will read: " I love Chillin' with you!" ... the "chillin'" will be cut from the penguin page in Create a Critter, too.

Miss You banner card using wire and beads for Paper Playtime Challenge #10
This Miss You card was made using SVGcuts pennant banner alphabets, lavender wire, seed beads, and some paper from the DCWV Sweet stack and sheet of pink ginham paper . I used Terrifically Tacky Tape to adhere the pennants to the wire. I saw this idea on another website, but I'm sorry... I forgot to save it to give that person credit!! I found it difficult to get the letters lined up correctly. A big learning experience, for sure! Join the challenge- http://paperplaytime.blogspot.com/2010/08/challenge-10-miss-you.html

Sweet 16 Card
My daughter's friend is turning 16 and this is the card I made for her. I'm loving that Kaleidoscope embossing powder!! I used it on both the photo corner and the scalloped frame. I glittered the "16". I attached a Making Memories charm to the ribbon.

Made by Momo "Flower Shower" challenge using flocking
Momo is having a "Flower Shower" challenge- which is just to make a card with flowers on it! I just bought some flocking powders at Michael's last night and was itching to use them! In case you don't know what they are (I didn't until last night!) they are the fibers that make the fuzzy feeling on cards.... like a velvet. I cut out the flourished frame from SVGcuts.com and patted my glue pad over it, then sprinkled the flocking powder on top... just as you would do with glitter. The patterned papers are from DCWV Pocket of Posies stack. I used kaleidoscope embossing powder from StampnStuff on the "Thank You" and while it's hard to see in the photo, it has a beautiful luminesence.

Create a Critter zebra in frame for daughter's room
My oldest daughter just got her room redecorated in a pink cheetah and zebra print. (Wouldn't have been MY first choice!)... but she's almost 14 and she wanted something a little more funky. So, to accessorize, I found the stinkin' cute zebra in Create a Critter and mounted it on pink with a black mat in a white frame. I wanted to embellish with some white flourishes on the black mat, but she REFUSED. arrrgggh.

Butterfly Happy Birthday Card using vellum
I made this birthday card for my mother-in-law today. For the butterflies, I stamped them using my cat's box fluid chalks and then dusted them with my crystal clear extra fine MStewart glitter. The ink wasn't drying quickly on the butterflies, so the glitter took care of that and I'm happy with the way they turned out! I gently bent them down the center and used a glue dot to adhere them to the card. I used the cuttlebug for the mat and used my zig 2 way pen to also add the same glitter to some of the raised parts of it. I ran the Happy Birthday phrase through my xyron and glittered it as well! and finally, a few color rhinstones. One very sparkly card :) Bring on the Bling!
