Ship Anchor Card

It's my dad's birthday Saturday and he's a waterman... Grew up in New Zealand just minutes from the ocean, and loves his boats.  So, what could be more fitting than an Anchor birthday card??  I'm not sure that I want to put a caption on the front because I like the simplicity of it just the way it is.
The patterned paper is "Granola" from Basic Gray-reminded me of seaweed.  I braided hemp cord for the rope.  The anchor came from wikicommons... great copyright FREE Svg's!  I used a scalloped border and my divine swirls embossing folder for the water.

Cricut Robot Bulletin Board Display

I had some fun with my first grade class in computer lab last week!  I found a great game online where they create their own robots.  They get to use a lot of the same graphic and image manipulating functions that MS Office has such as rotating, flipping, sizing, bring to front/back, etc..  Here's the link: http://www.abcya.com/make_a_robot.htm
They also name their robot and have the option to write/type a sentence about the robot.  THEY LOVED THIS!  Because they were so happy with the results, I decided to display their final work.  I didn't have much space or time to prepare the display like I REALLY would have liked to do, so it's pretty simple.  The robot came from SVGcuts.com- their outer space kit.  I also cut the border on the cricut. If I do this again, I'll be sure to save some wall space to make it really special :)

Log on/off posters for the computer lab

I found it helpful to create some log on/off reminder posters for the computer lab... especially for our third graders who are logging on themselves for the first time this year.  They often forget where to put that period!
I didn't use my cricut for this project, but you could if you wanted to! I created these in Microsoft Publisher.
